15 Colour-Themed Art Rare Binder Pages That Turn Your Collection Into a Gallery
Most binders are organised by set. The pages below are organised by colour — and the difference is night and day.
Art Rares (ARs) are the best-kept secret in Pokemon collecting: full-frame illustrations by Pokemon’s top artists, usually for just a few dollars each. Because every AR is a complete scene — an ocean, a bonfire, a neon city — cards from different sets can melt together into one continuous picture when you arrange them by palette. Each page below holds 16 Art Rares in a 4×4 side-loading binder page, and every one was built from singles pulled across the Scarlet & Violet and Sword & Shield eras.

Before you start: 5 rules we learned building these
1. Collect the palette, not the Pokemon type. A Fire-type card with a sunset background belongs on the sunset page, not the fire page. Some of the best fits are surprises — a Steel-type Zamazenta standing in golden light, a Grass-type Larvesta silhouetted against dusk.
2. Squint test. Zoom out (or squint) at your layout. The page should read as one blended image — if a card “pops out”, swap it toward a page it blends into.
3. Anchor the corners, feature the centre. Put your strongest scenery cards in the four corners to frame the page, and your favourite Pokemon in the middle four slots where the eye lands first.
4. Backgrounds can carry a slot. Some of the most valuable cards for these layouts are “cheap” ARs nobody chases — a card that is 80% scenery is exactly what glues two loud neighbours together.
5. Protect them like hits. Perfect-fit sleeve first, then into a side-loading binder page. ARs scratch and whiten at the corners just like any holo.
Page 1 — Open Ocean 🌊
Sun-drenched surface water: waves, beaches, and swimming lessons. Squirtle paddling, Lapras ferrying passengers, Misty’s Psyduck mid-splash and Oshawott asleep on a beach towel. The white-sand bottom row grounds the whole page.

Page 2 — Molten Core 🔥
Lava, embers and volcano country. Groudon rising out of magma, Numel trundling across a lava field, Vulpix by the fireplace, and Blaziken and Infernape bringing the heat in the bottom row. Deep blacks and reds make this the most aggressive page in the binder.

Page 3 — Winter Wonderland ❄️
Snowfields, auroras and icebergs. Dewgong under the northern lights, Beartic on its iceberg, Metagross clearing snow with a plough, and Magmar and Magmortar huddling around a campfire for a warm punchline in an ice page.

Page 4 — Deep Forest 🌲
The dark, old-growth end of green. Ferrothorn hanging in towering woods, Exeggutor grinning in the undergrowth, Virizion glowing between the trees. Moody, shadowed, and the perfect contrast page to the brighter greens that follow.

Page 5 — Meadow in Bloom 🌸
Green with flowers in it: Shaymin’s garden, Victini on a clifftop at first light, Lilligant under the moon, Amoonguss hiding among Poke Ball mushrooms. Softer and more whimsical than the forest pages.

Page 6 — Sunlit Jungle 🦎
Bright green with colour pops. Flygon slicing through palms, the Snivy line lounging across three different cards, Ambipom swinging through fruit, Archeops in the leaves. This page proves evolution lines from different sets can reunite on one page.

Page 7 — Jungle Canopy 🐛
The explorer’s page: Pinsir in the undergrowth, Alolan Dugtrio on the coast, Emolga leaping between trunks, Caterpie’s leaf-nibbled world and a Snorlax picnic to finish. Busy, warm, and full of easter eggs.

Page 8 — Neon Nights 🌃
Purple city lights and villain energy. Crobat over the skyline, Lampent street lamps, Zoroark in the alley, Team Rocket’s Weezing lounging with its trainer, Toxtricity on stage. The most “adult” page of the set — this one always stops people mid-scroll.

Page 9 — Ghostly Gala 👻
Ghosts, but make it pastel. Gengar with his trainer, Chandelure lighting a dinner party, Banette mid-dance, Mismagius in a mirror, Spiritomb haunting a girl in kimono. Purple-pink hues keep it playful rather than gloomy.

Page 10 — Golden Hour 🌅
Everything at sunset. Latios streaking over the sea, Tyranitar silhouetted against the sky, Galarian Articuno bathed in amber, Mesprit trailing light. Oranges, purples and long shadows — arguably the most cinematic page of the fifteen.

Page 11 — Pink Paradise 🎀
The pastel dream page. Wigglytuff on stage, Cinccino’s tidy room, Miltank’s cheese spread, Enamorus mid-heart-sign, a whole flamboyance of Flamigo. Sweetest page in the binder and a guaranteed crowd favourite.

Page 12 — After Dark 🖤
Black backgrounds and single light sources: crystal Magikarp glowing in a dark spring, Mewtwo against city rain, Zorua on a speaker, Bewear backlit at dawn. High contrast makes every card feel like a spotlight exhibit.

Page 13 — Earth & Bronze 🏜️
Sepia, rust and armour. Kingambit’s throne of Pawniard, Doublade’s armoury, Meltan in a shower of sparks, Durant’s tunnel colony, Jynx in a golden-hour silhouette. An unusual palette that makes neighbouring pages look brighter.

Page 14 — Golden Volt ⚡
Yellow: electricity, sunshine and Pikachu. Jolteon with Blue, Joltik macro shots, Lillie’s Ribombee, Flaaffy at the gym, and Pikachu twice — including the Chinese-exclusive pyjama-hug art that CN collectors hunt.

Page 15 — Coral Reef 🐠
Back underwater, but deeper and greener than page one: Vaporeon with its trainer, Inteleon diving, kelp forests, Manaphy gliding, ruins and research labs. Ending the binder where it started — in the water — makes flipping through it feel like one journey.
